Nitrogen-containing organic substances, caused by food residues and fish excrement, among other things, and broken down in the water in various stages, lead to harmful decomposition products in the water. A nitrite content of more than 0.3 mg per litre is harmful to your aquarium or pond fish over a longer period of time and promotes algae growth. Suitable for fresh and saltwater aquariums and ponds.
