Juwel Phorax to Bioflow M. Juwel Phorax is a highly efficient filter medium for the decomposition of phosphates in your aquarium. The degradation effectively reduces algae growth and can contribute to improved plant growth. Phorax consists of an aluminum mineral that binds dissolved phosphate by forming a water-insoluble aluminum phosphate and thus removes it from the water. Juwel Phorax is highly effective and binds up to 12 mg phosphate per gram of Phorax.
